Because I bought Cakewalk 8 a couple of months ago *before* they stopped
shipping with a manual. It's likely the same case with you. The posting from
Cakewalk in the cakewalk.general section announcing this is dated Feb. 4
/99. They posted it after someone complained in that NG about not getting a
manual.
